Q: How do you guys translate it?
A: We translate based on file order. Some exceptions are for videos, where you translate based on dialogue text. It's a common method translators do when they make english subbed walkthroughs.

Q: Is this work/patching illegal?
A: Only if you pirated a copy of a game WITH our translations (For example, you downloaded a iso file of the game someone patched themselves with our translations. We would like you to purchase the game yourself, and apply the translation patch yourself) or redistribute our patch without our consent/approval. We have bought the games legally beforehand with Japanese PSN Yen we purchased physically in Japan. If you wish to stay on the safe side, we recommend you to see our "Creating a Japanese PSN Account and supporting the creators legally!" page, as you are both legally supporting the game purchase, and obtaining it from a secure source.
