Before Proceeding
Please note that this tutorial requires a custom firmware vita. If you do not have cfw currently installed, please check out the website vita guide for help on your specific version. The patching plugin this tutorial refers to is the rePatch plugin. If you have not installed it yet, it is located here.
Guide
Installing the English Patch if you have the Physical Game:
If you own a physical copy of Sakurasou, there is a way for the game to work in English! However, it does require you to jailbreak your VITA in order for this method to work (Which, I'm sure you have.) This guide presumes you have Jailbroken, and have rePatcher already installed on your VITA. If not, please follow the preceding guide first before proceeding with the steps below.
Necessary Files needed:
rePatch installed
Sakurasou Physical Card.zip (currently missing still)
Jailbroken VITA (VitaShell installed)
File Transfer Software (The built in File Explorer for Windows or Finder for MacOS works. You could also use FileZilla)
Step 1: Download the zip folder (Sakurasou Physical Card), and extract the rePatcher Folder to a location you can easily access it. Do not alter or edit the folders!
Step 2: On your VITA, open VitaShell
Step 3: Make sure you know where rePatch is installed on your Vita. (for me, its is ux0)
Step 4: Turn on File Transfer (Select button turns on FTP or USB depending on your setting)
Step 5: Transfer the extracted rePatch folder onto the rePatch folder you have installed on your VITA. When you look in the rePatcher folder on your VITA, PCSG00129 should be the folder that appears.
Step 6: Close out of VitaShell, and boot up Sakurasou as usual.
Step 7: If you are greeted with 'Press Start' in English, congratulations! The English Patch is now installed on your VITA. For future patches, this is the same process you will have to repeat.
Installing the English Patch if you have the Digital Game: Similar to the physical copy guide, except only DATA.cpk is needed (this file is different compared to the one in the PSP page) is needed instead of Sakurasou Physical Card.zip. The directory should look like this ux0:rePatch/PCSG00129/files/data.cpk.
